Roof tiles

Ok kiddo, have you ever seen a building with a roof made up of flat rectangular pieces that overlap each other? Those are called roof tiles!

Roof tiles are made from different materials like clay, concrete, slate, or metal. They come in different shapes and sizes too depending on where you live and the style you want.

When a roof is being built, the tiles are placed on top of each other starting at the bottom of the roof and working their way up. They are usually in rows and each row overlaps the row below it to keep water from getting into your house. This overlapping of tiles is mostly like when you lay down Lego blocks for a tower.

Roof tiles are important because they protect the roof from things like rain, snow, and wind. They can also make a house look pretty cool!

So, that's the basic idea of what roof tiles are and what they do. Are there any other questions you have about them?
