Rotary encoder

So, a rotary encoder is a little machine part that helps you know the position of something that spins around. You know how on a blender or a mixer, you can turn the knob to change the speed? Well, that knob has a rotary encoder inside it!

This little machine part has a big job. It senses when the knob is turned, and it sends signals to the blender or mixer telling it how fast to go. It works kind of like a tiny radio that sends information back and forth between two machines.

So, when you turn the knob on your blender or mixer, the rotary encoder can sense that you're turning it, and it sends a signal to the machine telling it to go a little faster or slower. And all of this happens really quickly, too!

Basically, a rotary encoder is like a secret messenger between you and your kitchen appliances. It helps them know exactly what you want them to do!
