A rotor ride is a spinning amusement ride found at carnivals and theme parks. It consists of arms that spin around a central axis at various speeds. Each arm has a seat or bench attached to it and riders sit in the seat and hold onto a handrail as the ride spins. As the rotor spins, riders experience a feeling of weightlessness as their seat is pushed away from the center of the axis and the riders seem to float in the air.
