Roughneck

A roughneck is a person who works very hard and does tough jobs in the oil drilling industry. They use big machines to drill deep into the ground to get oil out of the earth. This job is not easy – it involves heavy lifting, long hours, and being outdoors in all kinds of weather. The roughneck has to be very strong and fearless to do this job. They work in teams and have to be good at following instructions to make sure they stay safe while doing their job. Sometimes they have to work on a rig far out in the ocean, where it’s really hard to reach them. So, being a roughneck is one of the toughest jobs there is!
