Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse

The government decided to look very closely at how grown-ups who work with children (like teachers, coaches or priests) handled situations where children said they were touched or treated in a bad way by other grown-ups. It's important to make sure that kids are safe and treated well, so the people in charge wanted to make sure everyone is doing the right thing. So, they put together a group of important and smart people, called a royal commission, to ask lots of questions and find out if everything is being done correctly to protect children.
