Royal Geographical Society

The Royal Geographical Society (RGS) is an organization that helps people explore and understand the world. They do this by helping people learn about geographical (land-locating) topics and conducting research in geography. The RGS also organizes field trips and expeditions to distant places to help people experience the world firsthand. The RGS also works to preserve geographical knowledge by publishing research, books, and maps about geographical topics. They also give out grants to help other people carry out research and exploration projects.
