ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Royal Institute of Navigation

So, have you ever been in a car and you needed to go somewhere but you didn't know how to get there? That's kind of like what the Royal Institute of Navigation does, but on a much bigger scale!

The Royal Institute of Navigation is a group of really smart people who help other people figure out how to get places using lots of different tools, like maps and compasses and GPS. They know everything there is to know about how to find your way from one place to another, no matter where in the world you are!

Sometimes, people who work on ships or planes need the Royal Institute of Navigation's help to make sure they don't get lost out in the middle of the ocean or sky. Other times, regular people like you and me might need their help finding our way on a hike or road trip.

By helping people navigate their way through the world, the Royal Institute of Navigation helps keep everyone safe and makes sure we all get where we need to go!
