Rubber chicken
Okay kiddo, have you ever seen a toy chicken that is made of rubber? That's what we call a rubber chicken!
So why do people have rubber chickens? Well, they're actually a bit of a joke. You see, a long time ago, people would use real chickens to test things like pipes or instruments that made noise. They would blow into the instrument while holding the chicken's neck so it would make a funny sound.
Nowadays, we don't use real chickens for that anymore because it's not very nice to the chickens. But people still like to make that silly sound by using a rubber chicken instead. It's just for fun and to make people laugh!
