Rubberized asphalt

Hey there kiddo! Do you know what asphalt is? It's the smooth, black stuff that you see on roads and parking lots. Now, sometimes when it rains, the asphalt can get really slippery and cars can slide around. That's not safe, right?

That's where rubberized asphalt comes in! It's a special type of asphalt that has little rubber pieces mixed into it. These rubber pieces come from old tires that people don't use anymore. So instead of throwing away those old tires, we can recycle them and use them to make safer roads!

The rubber in the asphalt helps give the road a better grip, so cars don't slide around as much when it rains. It also makes the road last longer, because the rubber helps protect the asphalt from getting worn down by cars driving on it all the time.

So, rubberized asphalt is a cool way to recycle old tires and make our roads safer and longer-lasting!
