Rubbersheeting

Rubbersheeting is a process that is used to correct distortion in old maps so that they match up with current surveys. The process works by stretching, shrinking, or twisting the old map to make it more accurate. Basically it's like taking an old map and making it match the current map better by fixing any parts that don't match up.
