Ruff (clothing)

Ruff clothing is like a big, fluffy collar that people used to wear a long time ago. It looks like a frilly donut around your neck that keeps you warm and makes you look fancy. It's not like a regular shirt or jacket that covers your whole body, it's only on your neck. It's kind of like wearing a necklace made out of fluffy material. People used to wear ruffs because they wanted to show that they were rich and important. Nowadays, ruffs aren't really worn anymore because people have different styles and it's not as necessary to dress up like that.
