Rugby league sevens

Okay kiddo, you know how in rugby league there are normally 13 players on each team and they play for 80 minutes? Well, in rugby league sevens there are only 7 players on each team and they play for just 14 minutes!

That means the game is a lot faster and there's more running around because there are fewer people on the field. It's kind of like playing tag but with a ball and rules.

The aim of the game is to score more points than the other team by running with the ball and putting it down in the other team's area, which is called the "try zone." Each try is worth 4 points and there are also extra points available for kicking the ball over the goalposts.

Rugby league sevens is played on a smaller field than regular rugby league and there are some different rules too. For example, there are no scrums - when the ball goes out of bounds, the team that didn't touch it last just throws it back onto the field.

It's a really exciting and fast-paced version of rugby league, and there are lots of tournaments and competitions where teams from all over the world can compete against each other!
