Imagine you have a game with two teams. Each team has nine players and they have to score points by carrying a ball shaped like a big oval egg towards the other team's end of the field and touching it on the ground.
The players can only throw the ball backwards or sideways to each other and they have to move it down the field by running, dodging and passing. If someone from the other team stops them by tackling them to the ground, they have to pass the ball to one of their teammates and start again.
If a player manages to touch the ball on the ground past the other team's end of the field, they score a try which is worth 4 points. They can then try to kick a ball over a big 'H' shaped post which will give them an extra 2 points.
After each try, the team that scored has to kick the ball back to the other team and play starts again from the halfway line.
The game is split into two halves of 9 minutes each and the team with the most points at the end wins. It's a fast and exciting game, perfect for fans who want to watch a shorter, more dynamic version of rugby league.
