Runahead

Runahead is a technique for making your games run faster by preparing for the future. It does this by saving a copy of the game at certain points. Then, when you get to one of those points again, your game skips ahead to the future instead of starting from the beginning again. This way, it takes less time to get to the same spot in the game.
