Russian military intervention in Ukraine (2014–present)

The Russian military is a group of soldiers from Russia who have decided to step in and help fight in the conflict in Ukraine. The conflict in Ukraine started in 2014 when some people in Ukraine wanted to be independent from Russia, but some people in Ukraine wanted to stay close to Russia. This caused a lot of fighting between the two groups. The Russian military stepped in to try to help the people in Ukraine who wanted to stay close to Russia. The Russian military has been fighting in Ukraine ever since, and it has caused a lot of trouble and hurt people on both sides of the conflict. This military intervention in Ukraine is a difficult and sensitive situation, which is why it is still going on today.
