ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

SHA-3

SHA-3 stands for Secure Hash Algorithm 3. It is a type of encryption that is used to make sure data or information is secure and can't be accessed or changed by anyone other than the person who should have access. It works by taking data or information and turning it into a big, long code called a "hash" which is very difficult to figure out. By having the hash, you know that the data or information is exactly the same as when it was entered, and can’t be changed by anyone else=. Therefore, it makes sure your data or information is secure and can only be accessed by the person it was meant for.
