Shoran is a way for people to figure out where they are in the world. It uses radio waves to figure out how far away something is. You might remember playing the game Marco Polo where you call out "Marco" and your friends call back "Polo" until you find them. Shoran works kind of like that. We send out a signal, and when it bounces back to us, we can figure out how far away the thing we sent the signal to is. That helps us figure out where we are in the world. It's like having a really good map that lets us find our way around, even if we can't see things around us. So, when you play hide and seek, and you use your ears to figure out where your friends are hiding, you are kind of using shoran, but in a simple and fun way!
