Saad Zaghloul
Saad Zaghloul was a man from Egypt who lived a long time ago. He was born in 1859 and died in 1927. He was a very important person because he helped Egypt become its own country.
Before Saad Zaghloul, Egypt was controlled by a country called England. England told Egypt what to do and how to live. Saad Zaghloul didn't think this was fair. He thought that Egypt should be able to choose its own leaders and make its own rules.
