Sageuk

Sageuk is a type of Korean drama (TV show) that focuses on historical events, or has a setting in the past. The stories usually focus on Korean culture, history and legends, and typically feature costumes, drama, and heroic battles. Sageuks often use plenty of special effects and elaborate sets to bring their stories to life. Many sageuks are very popular in South Korea and have large fanbases all over the world.
