Salt and pepper shakers

Okay kiddo, so you know how sometimes your food needs some extra flavor to taste good? That's where salt and pepper come in. Salt makes food taste salty and pepper makes food taste a little spicy.

Now, instead of just using our hands to sprinkle salt and pepper on our food, we use special containers called salt and pepper shakers.

Salt and pepper shakers are usually small containers with lids that have small holes on top. When we turn the shaker upside down and shake it, small amounts of salt or pepper come out so we can add just the right amount of flavor to our food.

Sometimes salt and pepper shakers come in all sorts of fun shapes and designs too!
