Sand rammer

A sand rammer is a tool that people use when they are working with sand. Sand is a material that is used for things like making molds to cast metal. The sand rammer looks kind of like a really big hammer, but it is used to pack the sand tightly together.

When people are making a mold out of sand, they need to make sure that the sand is really compact so that the mold will hold its shape when they pour the molten metal into it. That's where the sand rammer comes in. People use it to hit the sand over and over again until all of the air is pushed out and the sand is really tight.

So, imagine you're building a sand castle. If you just scoop up a pile of sand and try to shape it, it's not going to hold together very well, right? But if you pack the sand tightly together, you can make really cool shapes that will hold their shape when you're done. That's kind of like what a sand rammer does - it helps people pack the sand super tightly so they can make molds and other things that will be strong and keep their shape.
