ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Sarmatia

Sarmatia is a place that no longer exists. Long ago, there were some people who lived in a big area in Europe and Asia, which was called Sarmatia. It was a place where many different groups of people lived and they had their own cultures and ways of doing things.

Sarmatia was a very big land with lots of different kinds of terrain. There were mountains, forests, rivers, and flat lands. The people who lived there hunted, fished, farmed, and traded with each other. They also had their own languages and beliefs.

But as time passed, the people and the places in Sarmatia changed. Other kingdoms and empires grew, new languages and beliefs became more important, and the people in Sarmatia became part of these bigger changes. So, today, we don't really have a place called Sarmatia anymore. But we can still learn about the people who lived there and their ways of life through the stories and histories that have been passed down through the years.
