ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Sauveterrian

Sauveterrain is a big word that describes a time a long, long time ago when people who lived in caves and hunted for their food made special tools to help them do things like make clothes and hunt for animals. These people lived in a place called Europe and they were very resourceful - that means they were very good at using what they had around them to survive.

One thing that made the Sauveterrain people special was that they made little sculptures out of bone, which means they carved tiny things like animals and people out of special materials they found. These sculptures help us understand how they lived and what kind of things they were interested in back then.

So, in short, Sauveterrain is just a fancy word for a really cool and old-time period in Europe where people were really good at surviving and making amazing things out of stuff they found around them.
