Scaffold (barn)

Okay, kiddo. So a scaffold is something that helps builders build a big structure like a barn. It's kind of like a giant ladder that goes all the way up to the top of the barn. But instead of just being one ladder, it's lots of different parts that are fixed together to create a kind of platform for the builders to stand on while they build.

These parts are like big metal or wooden poles, and they're lined up next to each other, one on top of the other. The builders can climb up and down and move around on the scaffold to reach all the different parts of the barn that they need to work on.

It's really important to use a scaffold because it can be dangerous to just stand on a ladder or on a roof without anything to keep you safe. If you fall off, you could get hurt really badly. So the scaffold is a way to keep the builders safe while they work and make sure that they don't have any accidents.
