Schleicher's fable

Schleicher's Fable is a story that was made up a long time ago by a guy named August Schleicher. The story is about animals that talk and have names just like people do. In the story, there is a wren, a mouse, a frog, and a hawk. They all have their own personalities and do different things. The wren is very smart and thinks she is better than the other animals. The mouse is small and scared of the other animals. The frog likes to jump around and make noise. The hawk is big and strong and likes to hunt.

One day, the animals are all sitting together talking when they hear someone coming towards them. The wren tells the other animals to be careful because it might be a predator, or an animal that wants to eat them. The mouse gets very scared and wants to hide. The frog jumps around nervously. The hawk, on the other hand, is not afraid, because he is strong and can protect himself.

When the animals look to see who is coming, they see a man walking towards them. The man does not understand the animals' language, so he does not know what they are saying. He thinks they are just making noise. The animals see the man and know that he might be dangerous, so they all run away.

The moral of the story is that sometimes we might be afraid of things that are not really dangerous, and sometimes we might be brave even when we are small. The animals each had their own strengths and weaknesses, and they all acted differently when they were afraid. But in the end, they all did what they needed to do to be safe.
