Schnapps

Schnapps is like a fancy grown-up drink that has a special flavor. It's made from fruits like apples, pears, peaches, or plums. After the fruit is picked, it is mixed with sugar and water to make it sweet. Then, it is put in a special container where it ferments for a while. Fermenting means that the sweet mixture sits and changes into alcohol. When the fermentation is done, the mixture is heated up very hot which makes the alcohol evaporate. The evaporated alcohol then turns back into liquid drops and lands in a special container. This liquid is called "schnapps". When people drink schnapps, it can warm them up and make them feel happy!
