School bus yellow

Okay kiddo, so you know what a school bus looks like, right? Well, the color of the outside of a school bus is called "school bus yellow." It's a really bright and cheerful shade of yellow that makes it easy to see the bus from far away.

The reason why school buses are painted this color is because it's really important that drivers can see them when they're driving on the road. The bright yellow color helps the bus stand out so other drivers can see it and know to be extra careful when driving near it.

This color was chosen by a lady named Dr. Frank W. Cyr back in the 1930s. She wanted to make sure that school buses were easy to spot on the road and also have a uniform and recognizable color across the country. So, she worked with a paint company to come up with the perfect shade of yellow, and that's how we got school bus yellow!
