Science of science policy

Science of science policy is about using scientific research to figure out how policy is made. Scientists study how things like laws and regulations affect things like innovation and economic development so that governments can make better decisions when it comes to deciding how to make laws and regulations. Scientists look at things like how different types of policies have affected different countries, how different types of policies have affected different types of industries, and how different types of policies have affected different groups of people, so that governments can make better decisions about what kind of policies should be made.
