Evidence-based policy

Evidence-based policy is a way of making decisions about laws and policies based on evidence or facts. Think of it like a science experiment: when you do an experiment you follow a series of steps. You start by asking a question, do some research to come up with an answer, create a hypothesis (or guess) about what might happen, try the experiment, and then look at the results. In evidence-based policy, you do something similar for laws and policies - you ask a question about how to solve a problem, do research to come up with a solution, create a plan for the policy or law, try it out, and then measure the results to see if it worked.
