ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Evidence-based policing

Evidence-based policing means using scientific research to find out what works best to keep people safe and prevent crime. Just like how doctors use research to find the best medicine to cure people, police officers use research to find the best ways to protect society. By using evidence-based strategies like community policing, hotspot policing, and problem-oriented policing, police can be more effective in reducing crime and making our neighborhoods safer. It's like a detective finding clues and using them to solve a mystery, but instead of a mystery, it's a way to make our society better!
