Scientific evidence

Scientific evidence is information gathered by scientists in an experiment that can be used to support or refute a hypothesis. An experiment is when a scientist tests a potential solution to a problem to see if it is correct. To gather evidence, the scientist may measure something, look at the results of something, or even study the behaviour of living things. Scientists then use the evidence from the experiment to come up with an answer to the problem. The answer is either correct or not correct. If the answer is correct, that means the scientist has found scientific evidence to support the hypothesis.
