Scientific instruments are tools that help scientists measure things and do experiments. For example, a thermometer is a scientific instrument that helps a scientist measure temperature. A microscope is a scientific instrument that helps a scientist look at really tiny things, like germs and cells. Other scientific instruments measure wind speed, air pressure, light, and other things that scientists need to know in order to do their work.
