Search algorithm

Search algorithms are step-by-step ways to look for something. Imagine you are looking for a toy in your messy room. A search algorithm is a plan to help you look for it in an organized way by first looking in one area, then the next and so on until you find it. A computer search algorithm is like this, except instead of a messy room it looks through a bunch of data to find the answer it is looking for.
