Second-term curse

The second-term curse is something that has happened to some US Presidents. It says that the second terms of a President's term in office will not be as successful as the first. It's like a bad luck spell that affects some Presidents, but not all. It's hard to explain why it happens, but it might be because the second term comes after a President has been in office for four years, and by then some of their energy and ideas for making changes have run out. This can make it harder for them to get things done.
