Okay kiddo, have you ever had something come out of your nose when you sneezed? Or maybe you've seen your mom or dad put lotion on their skin? These are examples of secretion.
You see, our bodies are made up of different parts called organs, like our nose or even our skin. And sometimes, these organs make special substances that they release or secrete, kind of like how a water fountain spits out water.
For example, when you sneeze, your nose makes a lot of mucus (yucky stuff), and it comes out of your nose as a form of secretion. And when your parents put lotion on their skin, their skin cells make special oils (yummy stuff), and they come out of the skin as a form of secretion too.
Secretion happens all around us, even in animals and plants. It's just a natural way for different parts of the body to release special substances that they make.
