Security testing

Security testing is like playing a game of hide and seek. Just like when you play hide and seek, you try to find your friends hiding in different places, when we do security testing, we try to find hidden problems in the computer programs, websites or apps that we use every day.

You know how you have rules to follow when playing hide and seek, such as not hiding in dangerous places? Similarly, computer programs and websites also have rules to follow to keep our information and data safe. But sometimes, the people who make these programs and websites may forget some of these rules, or they might make a mistake and create a loophole that can be used by bad people to steal our information or damage our devices.

So, security testing is like an adult game of hide and seek where we look for these mistakes or loopholes that can be exploited by bad people. We do this by using special tools and techniques to try and break into the computer program or website, just like how you have to use your brains and skills to find your friends hiding in tricky places.

If we find any problems, we tell the people who made the program or website so they can fix the problems and make sure our information and devices stay safe. So, security testing is an important job that helps keep us safe from bad people who want to harm us.
