Seismic performance analysis

Seismic performance analysis is like a test to measure how strong a building can be during an earthquake. During the test, engineers create a model of the building and then use a machine that could shake the model to imitate the movement of an earthquake. They observe what happens, like if the model was damaged or if it stayed in one piece. After they get the results, they compare it to the seismic codes and design better buildings that are more resistant to earthquakes.
