Selection-based search

Okay kiddo, let me tell you what selection-based search is.

You know that looking for something on Google can be a little tricky because there can be a lot of information out there, right? Selection-based search tries to make it easier by letting you search for something just by highlighting some text.

Here’s how it works: let’s say you’re reading a book online and you come across a word that you don’t understand. Just click and hold on that word with your mouse or finger (depending on whether you’re using a computer or a tablet or phone), and a little pop-up will appear with some options. One of those options will be “search” or “search Google”.

When you click on that, it will automatically take you to Google and show you search results for that word. That way, you don’t have to type the word into Google yourself. This can save you time and make it easier to find the information you’re looking for.

So basically, selection-based search is a way to quickly and easily look up information on Google by simply highlighting the text you want to search for. Pretty cool, right?
