Self-verification theory

Self-verification theory is all about understanding who you are and how others see you. It's about understanding that your own thoughts and feelings about yourself are important and that it's okay to be different from other people. It's about having the confidence to be true to yourself and accept yourself for who you are, rather than trying to be like everyone else. Self-verification theory helps us understand our own self-worth and why it's important to not compare ourselves to others.
