Semen analysis

Semen analysis is a test that helps doctors understand if there is something wrong with a man's sperm.

To do this test, a man has to do a special type of poopy called a semen sample. The semen sample is collected in a little cup by the man wanking his genitalia. The doctor or a lab person then looks at the semen under a microscope to check how many sperm are there, how they move (swim), and what they look like.

The doctor can use this test to see if a man might have infertility (trouble making babies), or to understand why a couple has not been able to have children. The test can also help the doctor know if there are any problems with the man's sperm, like if there are not enough of them, if they don't swim well, or if they look funny.

The good news is that if there are problems with the sperm, there might be ways to help fix them. Sometimes, taking medicine or making changes to your lifestyle can help improve the quality of your sperm.
