Sensory neuroscience

Okay, so you know when you touch something and you can feel it? That feeling is called a sensation, and it happens because of something called sensory neuroscience.

Your body has special things inside it called nerves.

Nerves are like tiny little wires that run all over your body, and they help you feel things happening around you.

When you touch something, for example, the nerves in your skin send a message to your brain that says “hey, we just felt something!”

Your brain then takes that message and decides what to do with it. It might tell you that the thing you touched was hot and that you need to be careful, or it might tell you that it was soft and nice to touch.

Sensory neuroscience is all about how your body and your brain work together to create those sensations. It’s like a big puzzle, and scientists are always trying to figure out how all the pieces fit together.

So basically, sensory neuroscience is all about how you feel things, and how your body and brain work together to make that happen!
