Sentence (linguistics)

A sentence is like a group of words that makes a complete thought. Imagine you have a bunch of Legos and you want to build something with them - a sentence is like building a tower with Legos that tells a story or conveys information. Just like how you put Legos together to make a tower, you put words together to make a sentence. A sentence is like a complete idea that you can say out loud or write down. For example, "I like pizza" is a sentence because it is a complete thought that can stand on its own, and it tells us something about the person who said it. So, a sentence is like a Lego tower made of words that tells us something.
