Sequence (biology)

Sequences are strings of letters that scientists use to describe things in biology. For example, sequences can be used to spell out the instructions for making proteins in our bodies. Proteins are like the tools that make our bodies look, act and feel like us! They can determine what color eyes we have and how strong our muscles are. Scientists can use sequences to figure out what kind of protein might do what.
