Sergei Pankejeff was a Russian man who became famous because he gave Sigmund Freud, the famous psychoanalyst, permission to talk about his life story. Pankejeff was very interested in understanding why he felt anxious and unhappy, so he went to see Freud to get help. Freud put forward the idea that the root of Pankejeff's anxiety was something he experienced as a child – known as the Wolf Man case. By talking to Freud, Pankejeff was able to delve deeper into his childhood memories, and discover the cause of his distress. Eventually, Pankejeff was able to work past his issues and lead a happy life.
