Serpent Column

The serpent column is like a giant metal pole that has a really cool design carved into it. The design is based on a story from a long time ago where a bunch of really brave people fought against a bunch of enemies and won. The serpent column was made to celebrate their victory and to thank their gods for helping them win.

The column is really tall and has three big snakes wrapped around it, kind of like when you wrap a snake around your arm when you play pretend. Each snake has a head that sticks out of the column and they all face a different direction. They also have big wings so they look like they could fly away if they wanted to!

The serpent column used to be gold, but over time it got rusty and started to lose its shine. But even though it's not shiny anymore, it's still really important because it shows us what people used to believe in a long time ago and how they celebrated when good things happened.
