ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Set (film and TV scenery)

Okay kiddo, so have you ever played with LEGO or building blocks?

Great! So you know how you can put different blocks together to make something really cool? Now imagine that instead of blocks, we use different things like tables, chairs, walls, doors, and even fake trees and rocks.

This is kind of like what people do when they make a set for a movie or TV show. They use all these different things to create a whole new place for the actors to be in. They might even use special effects and computer graphics to make it look even cooler.

The set designers have to think really hard about what they want the place to look like, and how it will help tell the story. They might even have to build things from scratch like a giant castle or a spaceship!

So when you watch a movie or TV show, you're not just watching the actors perform, you're also watching the amazing world that the set designers have created for them to be in. Pretty cool, huh?
