ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Set size

Set size is like how many toys are in your toy box. Imagine that you have a toy box and you can only fit a certain number of toys in it. When you put all your toys in the toy box, you can count how many toys are inside. This number is the set size.

For example, if you have five toys in the toy box, the set size is five. If you try to put more toys in the toy box than it can hold, some of the toys might fall out or you might not be able to close the toy box. This shows that there is a limit to how many toys can be in the toy box, just like there is a limit to how many elements can be in a set.

So, set size is like the number of toys in your toy box - it is how many elements are in a set. And just like you can't fit an infinite number of toys in your toy box, there is a limit to how many elements can be in a set.
