Seven Second Summits
Okay kiddo, you know how there are big tall mountains in the world like Mount Everest? Well, some people like to climb those mountains, but some people like to climb the second tallest mountains in each of the seven continents. These second tallest mountains are called the seven second summits.
So, let's say someone already climbed Mount Everest in Asia, they might want to try and climb the second tallest mountain in the continent, which is called K2 in Pakistan. Or if someone already climbed Aconcagua in South America, they might want to climb the second tallest mountain called Ojos del Salado in Chile.
It's a really hard and dangerous thing to do because these mountains can be just as tall and challenging as Mount Everest, and the weather and conditions can be really tough. But some people like the thrill and challenge of climbing these seven second summits.
