ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Shades of white

White is a color that we see as pure and clean. However, when we take a closer look, we can notice that white is not just one shade, but there are many different shades of white. It's like how there are different types of toys that all look different, but they are still toys.

Some shades of white might be bright and sunny, while others might be more subtle and calm. Think of it like a box of crayons. You might have a box with only one color - white - but the crayons inside might all look a bit different. Someone might use a white crayon to color in the sky, or to draw fluffy clouds.

So, just like how there are different shades of blue or yellow, there are also different shades of white. And these different shades of white can make a big difference in how we perceive colors and objects around us.
