Sheet mulching

Sheet mulching is a gardening technique that uses layers of materials to cover the soil in your garden. By layering things like old newspaper or cardboard, compost, leaves, and soil you can keep the soil healthy and stop weeds from growing. You can also use sheet mulching to add nutrients to the soil and create a healthier growing environment. The layers of material act like a big blanket that helps the soil to stay moist, helps nutrients and water to stay in the soil, and it also helps protect the soil from wind, erosion and pests.
